The–Self Concept for Physical disabled in Association of “Physical Disabled Center in El Obeid Town”

This study aimed to identify the self-concept with the physically disabled in the Association of Physically Disabled Centre in El Obeid Town and the identification of the differences in the self-concept with the physically disabled as well, due to the variables of (sex, degree of physical disabled, birth order, and type of physical disabled). The study used the descriptive analytical approach. Hearth and Berth represented the study tool in self-concept measurement. The sample was selected by the intentional sample, as the sample size attained 100 disabled (64 males and 36 females) by 5% from a study population of 2000 disabled. The data analyzed by using Statistical Packages of Social Sciences (SPSS), through Alpha Cronabach coefficient and coefficient of Spearman and Brown, monocular-contrast analysis (ANOVA), arithmetic mean and standard deviation. The important results are: The self-concept upon the physical disabled in the current study population is above the middle Non-existence of significant statistical differences in the self-concept upon the physical disabled in the current study population due to variable of sex (male, female) (p < 0.05).Non-existence of significant statistical differences in the self-concept upon the physical disabled in the current study population due to variable of the type of physical handicap (with birth, acquired)(p < 0.05).There is no existence of significant statistical differences in the self-concept upon the physical disabled in the current study population due to variable of the degree of physical disabled (light, medium, acute)(p < 0.05). There is existence of significant statistical differences in the level of self-concept upon the physical disabled in the current study population due to variable of the mental age in favor of (36-56 years)(p > 0.05). The important recommendations were the provision of the Association of Physically Disabled Centre in El Obeid Town with specialists in the field of psychological guidance and orientation to increase self-concept upon the physically disabled and to provide solution to their problems.
